Allen is a technologist and entrepreneur with more than 35 years in the industry. Allen’s background includes a unique history of software development and marketing, CIO-level consulting, and entrepreneurship. In September 2006, Allen launched the firm now known as Cumulus Global, recognizing the need among small businesses for better managed IT services. Allen leads a team of cloud computing experts helping businesses, non-profits, schools, and local governments thrive and grow with productive, secure, and affordable managed cloud services and cloud forward solutions.

Allen is a recognized thought leader on technology issues for small and mid-size businesses. As a member of the Inc Leadership Forum, Allen is a regular contributor to Inc. Allen has served for over a decade on vendor and industry advisory boards and committees. Under his leadership, Cumulus Global has appeared twice on the Inc 500/5000 and is consistently recognized as an innovative leader by industry analysts and associations.

Allen holds a Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Computer and Communication Sciences from the University of Michigan.
